Here is a list of cross stitch software, most of which I have not yet used. As I get time I will endevour to download them and will write a little about what I think of each. This list is not complete, but will grow over time.

PCStitch is a software program that allows you to create your own patterns from scratch or by converting photographs. It comes in two versions, PCStitch Standard and PCStitch Pro. They also offer the Pattern Pieces artwork collection.

Digistitch by Creative Craftware allows you to convert photos to cross stitch patterns.

EasyGrapher allows you to design charts for cross stitch, needlepoint, Hardanger, Bargello, plastic canvas, blackwork rug hooking, and other needlework. There are four versions of this software. EasyGrapher Home, EasyGrapher Specialty (not for cross stitch), EasyGrapher Professional 2004 and EasyGrapher Stitch Wiz.

Stitch Crafts by CompuCrafts is a stitch graphing software for generating cross stitch and other needlecraft charts. There are two versions. Stitch Crafts Gold for Windows and Stitch Crafts Pro for Macintosh.
